I just purchased this model and have had similar machines with the B&S 550ex engine. It's a newer more plastic deck layout but enthusiast about yours hitting high grass and weeds. I know this model engine has the crappy plastic carburetor but I've lots of experience rebuilding them or replacing. Someone stole my old one.

Just open the contoller get aome little foam sticky pads cut them to small size same size as the pressure pad place them on top contoller back together and good to go no more loud clicking

My mower stopped on me on a Hot 90 plus degree day so i thought it had no oil. I added oil and overfilled it but i took out the excess oil but still No Start. I set it aside and around 9 pm it started fine. I use Super Unleaded gas. Doesn't seem as watery as Regular unleaded gas. WOW. Looks like you need a Front string trimmer not a Lawn Mower. Did you not cut it in 2 years.?? Save the Rain Forest.

Definitely replace every joint with serviceable joints(grease able). Tie rods, upper and lower ball joints, steering knuckle.

I have this exact same mower but under the Troy Bilt name. I purchased it from Lowe's back in June of 2016. It is May of 2024 and it still works/runs great, cranking within the first two pulls. P.S: I've only changed the oil, blade, and spark plug once. That was back in 2021. I store it in my garage. Plus I always run it completely out of gas before storing it for the winter. I'm confident it will last at least another two years as I'm not ready to spend over $300 on a new mower. However, if I have to, I will buy this mower from Craftsman. Great review!

Most the videos on assembling this mixer put the flat washers on the toothed nut side the toothed nut needs to dig into the metal painted frame, the flat washer goes on the bolt head side you hold the nut steady and turn the bolt drawing the teeth of the nut into the frame or over time it will vibrate loose as the toothed nut is dug into the smooth flat washer and can spin.
